WHAT IS #MAKESHIPDTIYS?
Makeship is turning 5 and we want to celebrate with you!!
We wouldn’t be here without our amazing fans and creators, so we want you to get in on the birthday fun. #MakeshipDTIYS is a campaign where we get you to show us your designing or drawing skills by recreating this image of the Makeship mascot, Fiya, celebrating its birthday.

Submit your art using our hashtag #MakeshipDTIYS on Twitter or Instagram from July 4th to July 23rd! On Makeship’s birthday, August 3rd, we’ll announce our winners!

WHAT CAN I SUBMIT?
Anyone can participate in our #MakeshipDTIYS contest via Instagram or Twitter! We are accepting all artistic mediums, as long as they are created by you– this includes but is not limited to traditional and digital drawings, ceramic and clay, comics, cosplays, and mixed media. However, we are NOT accepting AI creations.

Submissions do not have to be exact replicas of the reference. We’d love to see your interpretation of our piece!

THE PROCESS
#MakeshipDTIYS launches on July 4th, 2023 at 3 PM ET. Following our announcement, creators and fans are able to begin submitting their take on the provided image of Fiya. Submissions are made by making a post on Instagram or Twitter, and the post must use the #MakeshipDTIYS hashtag and follow the @makeship account on the platform they submit in order to qualify.

Creators should also take into consideration the following criteria when submitting their entry:

CREATIVITY
Is the style unique/original?
How do they put their own spin/twist on it?
What is the complexity/skill of their design?
What is the composition?
IMPACT
What is the initial reaction to this drawing/image?
MEDIUM
What is the difficulty of this medium?
How diverse is it?
WHAT DO THE WINNERS GET?
RUNNERS-UP
The top 4 submissions, as decided by the Makeship Design team, will each receive a $50 Makeship gift card and a Fiya plushie.

GRAND PRIZE
